After gaining a first class degree in linguistics and psychology from the University of Hertfordshire in 1992, I went on to study for a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Communication Studies from City University, London 1993 -1995. This enabled me to work as a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist. I successfully studied for a further MSc in Clinicial Communication Studies in 1998.
I have worked in the NHS with both adults and children at a variety of locations in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire including hospitals, rehabilitation centres, community clinics, schools, pre-schools and Children's Centres. I have also worked in research into aphasia therapy at Birkbeck college in London and am currently employed part time as an external clinical tutor for City University, London.
I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and am also registered with the Health Professions Council.
